Why does nobody talk about the weird phone calls from your own number?

Last Tuesday around 3 PM, my phone rang and the caller ID showed my own name and number. I answered, confused, and there was just dead air and a faint clicking sound for about 10 seconds before it hung up. I checked my call log and it was definitely my own contact info calling me. This happened again the next day, same time, same silent call. Has anyone in the Denver area had this happen and know what's going on?

Is this actually a big deal or just some weird phone glitch? I've gotten spam calls from numbers close to mine, but never my exact number. It's probably just a scammer using a spoofing app that messed up. Unless they start reading your texts back to you, I'd just block it and move on.

Actually getting a call from your own number is a huge red flag. That specific spoof is a known trick for more serious scams, not just random robocalls. It's worth looking into and reporting, not just blocking.
