Pro tip: I was wrong about using a rasp for every clean-up job.

My mentor in Boise showed me a sharp knife gets the job done in half the time on certain trims. Anyone else switch up their basic tools like that?

Ever try a card scraper for that? A sharp one can clean up glue squeeze-out faster than anything else.

My old foreman in Portland swore by a utility knife for that. Spencer707 is right about card scrapers too, they're a game changer for glue.

Yeah but utility knives gouge up the wood way too easily.
