Showerthought: A quick trick for a tight heel bulb saved me 20 minutes yesterday

I used a small piece of rolled-up vet wrap as a temporary buffer while shaping the shoe, and it kept the area clear without getting in the way. Anyone have a different method for those tricky, tight spaces?

Actually, that trick with the vet wrap sounds like it could slip at the worst time. A bit of beeswax pressed into the corner has always worked better for me. It stays put, fills the gap, and just melts out with the heat of the shoe. Rolling material in there seems like it would just add bulk and get stuck.

Yeah beeswax is way cleaner for sure. I tried the vet wrap thing once and it just made a weird lump, ended up pulling it all back out. The wax just disappears like it was never there.

Always find the simplest fix works best in the end.
