Tried a new rasp versus my old one on a tough quarter crack

I was working on a Percheron with a deep quarter crack last week and decided to test my new Heller 14 inch rasp against the old Nicholson I've had for years. The Heller cut faster and didn't load up with hoof material nearly as much, which saved me a good 15 minutes of work and a lot of elbow grease. Anyone else have a go-to rasp for really dense hoof wall?

Wait you saved 15 minutes on one hoof? That's wild lol. I've had some tough ones but never that much of a time difference. A Percheron with a deep crack sounds like a full day's work by itself. What were you using before, a butter knife?

Yeah, some days it feels like you're fighting the hoof more than trimming it.
