Just discovered iron-on interfacing for my jacket lapels

I kept getting floppy lapels on my hand-sewn jackets until I tried a mid-weight woven interfacing instead of fusible. Has anyone else had better luck with sew-in vs iron-on for structured pieces?

I tried the iron-on stuff first and it didn't hold up well either. The fusible started peeling after a few washes on my suit vest lapels. Switched to a cotton sew-in interfacing and basted it in place before stitching. That fixed the floppy problem completely and the lapels keep their shape way longer.

Nah, fusible interfacing works just fine if you fuse it properly first time.
