Just hit 50 sketches for a single jacket design and it blew my mind

Honestly, I was working on this utility jacket idea for a project and got stuck on the pocket layout. I kept redrawing it, trying different shapes and placements. I finally looked at my sketchbook this morning and counted them. Tbh, I had done 50 separate sketches just for the pockets and front panel. It felt crazy because I usually stop after maybe 10 versions. This time, I was chasing a specific look that felt both functional and clean, and I just couldn't let it go. The 48th sketch was the one that finally clicked, with a hidden zip pocket under the flap. Has anyone else ever gotten that deep into tweaking one small part of a design before it felt right?

Wow, 48 tries is some real dedication.

Actually it was 47 tries. The 48th was the successful one, so the grind was 47 fails. Still a crazy amount of effort to put in. I would have given up way before that.
