Call that a pro tip? Using random fabric is asking for trouble. That bedsheet has way more stretch than proper muslin, so your "fit issues" are probably just the fabric lying to you. I tried sewing with a tablecloth once and the whole dress ended up two sizes too big when I cut the real silk. You're just seeing what you want to see in that busy print.
