Tbh, I tried designing with a mood board versus just a sketchbook for a week

Honestly, the mood board kept me focused on the vibe I wanted, while my sketches kept drifting off into random ideas. Anyone else find one method works way better for staying on track?

Exactly. Some of the best inventions came from a random thought that seemed silly at first. The microwave started when a scientist noticed a candy bar melted in his pocket near radar. If you only stick to the plan, you miss those weird connections. The trick is to write those random ideas down before you forget them. Later, you can look back and see if any of them actually fit together into something good.

Yeah random ideas are great until I remember I had a genius one in the shower and by the time I'm dry it's gone.
