Vent: Spent $80 on a cheap fabric swatch book and it ruined a whole collection
The colors looked totally different under studio lights compared to the online photos. I had to scrap three sample garments because the material was way thinner than it seemed. Anyone know a reliable supplier for accurate swatches?

Ugh, my friend had the same thing happen with some linen. She ordered a whole bolt based on a swatch card that looked nothing like the real fabric. It's such a waste of time and money.

Actually my cousin works in textile printing and says swatch cards are way more accurate than they used to be. The lighting in your room can change how any color looks, that's not the card's fault. Most places will send you a bigger sample if you ask before buying a whole bolt. It sounds like your friend skipped that step.
