Just realized my fermentation station's airlock was clogged for a week because of a fruit fly. Found it stuck in the grommet.

Consider what that fly was trying to do before it got stuck. It was drawn to the smell, meaning your airlock liquid might have been too weak or had gone bad. That little guy points to a bigger issue with the barrier itself. Next time, maybe use a higher proof spirit or check the airlock more often. A simple swap of the liquid could stop the whole problem before it starts.

A clogged airlock is basically a free safety check (it forces you to look at your ferment). That fruit fly probably saved you from a bigger problem down the line. Some brewers even say a little pressure build-up can be good for flavor.
