My 3-year-old sauerkraut crock in the garage just started weeping from the bottom
Last week I found a puddle of brine under it, and the ceramic had a hairline crack I never noticed. Anyone know a good fix, or is it a total loss now?

A weeping crock is just its way of telling you it's sad the sauerkraut is gone. You might try a food-safe epoxy on a dry, clean crack, but that's a pretty big gamble. Once ceramic starts going, it's usually time for a new one.

Yeah, food safe epoxy is the only real shot, but you have to get that ceramic bone dry first. Even a tiny bit of moisture in the crack will ruin the bond. If it's weeping now, that's a bad sign it's already too far gone.
