My airlock bubbled over and made a sticky mess on the kitchen counter
It happened last Tuesday with my first try at making ginger beer. The jar was too full and the warm weather made it go crazy fast. I came home to find a puddle of sugary liquid all over the counter and down the cabinet. Had to clean everything and start over with less headspace. Anyone have a good trick for catching those overflow bubbles?

That "sticky mess on the kitchen counter" is just life's way of teaching us to leave room for things to grow, you know? Lily574 asked if this is just how fermenting goes, and honestly, isn't everything a bit like that? You learn the hard way to not fill things up so much.

Yeah, doesn't everyone learn that the hard way? I finally stopped overfilling my starter after I found raspberry goo dripping down the cabinet doors. Just remember, half full gives it room to burp without redecorating your whole kitchen.
