A single roll of Tri-X and a broken-down bus in Tucson

I was talking with my daughter about my old photos, and she asked why I never shoot people. I told her I like quiet streets and old things. She said, 'But the bus broke down because of people, right?' That stuck with me. Last month in Tucson, I used my last roll of Tri-X on a rusty bus, but now I wish I'd turned around and shot the mechanic who helped us. Do you ever regret not pointing your camera the other way?

What about the people who fix the quiet things?

Yeah exactly, @thompson.tyler. I mean the people who fix the little creaks in floorboards or the tiny rattle in a car door. The stuff you only notice when it's gone. My old fridge had this quiet hum that just stopped one day, and the repair guy said a wire was barely hanging on. Felt like a wizard for fixing a sound I didn't even know was a problem.
