Had to choose between my last roll of Portra 400 or a fresh pack of Tri-X for a rainy day walk
I picked the Tri-X because I figured the high contrast would look cool with the wet pavement and dark clouds over the river. The grain came out perfectly gritty in the prints, and I'm so glad I went with black and white. Do you ever let the weather decide your film stock for you?

Weather totally changes the game for me too. Rainy days are basically made for black and white.

My last roll of Cinestill 800T got saved for a neon-lit bus stop in a downpour. The halation from the wet signs looked like something out of a noir movie. I almost never shoot color at night, but that rain changed my whole plan. Sometimes the weather isn't just a factor, it's the main character.
