Honestly thought expired film was a total scam until last month

Tbh, I found a roll of Kodak Gold 200 in my dad's old camera bag from like 2003. Figured it was junk, but I shot it anyway in my Pentax K1000 just to see. Developed it myself, and ngl, the colors came out with this weird, soft, pinkish tint that I actually really love. It gave my shots of the local diner a totally different vibe. Has anyone else gotten lucky with super old film like that?

I mean, it's just some weird colors, right? Not like you found a secret art form or anything. It's a cool accident, but idk if it's that deep.

Yeah "just some weird colors" is how a lot of art starts... someone sees something random and it clicks. The accident is the whole point, it shows you a path you wouldn't have planned. Calling it not that deep kinda misses why it's interesting to begin with.
