Spent $60 on a giant pack of those white foam cores for framing prints and they warped within a week in my damp basement.
Now I'm out the cash and stuck with bent backing boards that won't sit flat in any of my frames, has anyone found a cheaper moisture-proof alternative?

Cut the foam core boards yourself from coroplast or polypropylene sheet instead. I got a pack of 20x30 inch coroplast signs at a local print shop for way less than those fancy foam ones, and they don't bend even in really damp spots. Also try sealing your foam boards with a light coat of clear acrylic spray before you put them in frames, it adds a moisture barrier. Honestly, just toss the warped ones and grab some coroplast from a sign shop, they'll cut it to size for cheap.

Toss the warped ones and just get coroplast. I did the same thing last year after my foam boards got all bent up in my basement. The sign shop cut them exactly to size and it cost me like 12 bucks for three sheets. I haven't had any problems since even with the humidity. The acrylic spray trick is smart too but honestly the coroplast is so tough you might not even need it.
