I used to swear by new builds, but a coworker's experience shifted my stance
I was sure a new home meant fewer problems for a first buyer. After a coworker's story of constant fixes, I now think older homes might be better. Do you find that new builds are overrated?

Ever buy a new build and suddenly become a full time fix it guy?

Constant fixes are no joke. My cousin's new build had plumbing issues within the first year. Makes you wonder if they cut corners just to finish fast.

Honestly, @lucas_moore's plumbing story hits on a bigger issue with rushed inspections. I've seen whole neighborhoods go up in months, and that speed means problems get painted over, not solved. Sometimes an older house had more time and care put into it.
