Spent $500 on a sewer scope inspection before closing

It found a collapsed line the sellers didn't disclose, saving me from a $20k repair. Who else skipped an inspection they now regret?

What's the real cost of trusting a seller's word?

Well @anthony_lane55, the real cost is often your time and peace of mind, not just money.

Three days of back and forth with a seller who swore a vintage guitar was "all original" only to find a replaced neck and refinished body when it arrived. @anthony_lane55, that time and aggravation is a real cost too, not just the cash outlay. You have to factor in the hours you spend researching, messaging, and dealing with returns or disputes. Money's replaceable, but you can't get back a weekend wasted on someone's lies. I'd rather pay a bit more to a trusted seller and keep my peace of mind than save a few bucks and lose a week of my life.
