The light fixture swap that turned into a 4 hour job
I bought my first house six months ago and thought swapping out a ceiling light would take maybe 30 minutes. Three trips to Home Depot later, I found out the old box was too shallow for the new fixture and the wiring was backwards from what the 1970s diagram showed. Took me from 7pm until almost 11pm on a Tuesday night just to get one light working. Anyone else run into a 'quick' fix that turned into a whole evening project?

That "30 minute" light swap turned into my own personal DIY nightmare too, I feel your pain.
