Vent: My agent said to skip the inspection on a $275k condo to make the offer stronger. I did it anyway and found $15k in hidden water damage.
He kept pushing. Said it was a hot market in Phoenix and waiving contingencies was the only way to win. I paid for my own guy to come out before we even submitted the offer. Found mold behind the kitchen sink wall and a slow leak under the bathroom floor. Seller had to fix it all or drop the price. Who else has been pressured to skip the inspection? Is this normal now?

Make the offer stronger" by setting fifteen grand on fire? That's some next level real estate advice right there. My guy, you dodged a moldy bullet. Imagine moving in and your floor just decides to become a water feature. Agents who push that junk should have to live in the house with the hidden leaks.

Ugh, that reminds me of my cousin's place. They waived the inspection to "be competitive," and now their basement smells like a wet dog 24/7. Found a crack in the foundation pipe the sellers just painted over. @phoenix_burns26 is right, some agents are just trying to get the deal done. My cousin's realtor ghosted them after the papers were signed. Total nightmare.
