Finally hit 500 vintage postcards from my weekly flea market trips, which is a lot more than I thought I'd ever find.
It started as a casual thing to grab a few from the bins at the Springfield Antique Mall, but after three years of digging every Sunday, I've got a whole drawer dedicated to them now, mostly from the 1940s through the 1960s.

Yeah you mentioning the "wish you were here" thing made me think, those postcards are basically like tiny time capsules from random strangers. Imagine the stories behind each one, like who wrote it and why they picked that specific picture of some random motel or roadside attraction. I bet some of them have secret messages written in code or little jokes that only made sense to the person getting it back then. Also kinda wild how people used to just send postcards to say "I'm thinking of you" without any real reason, that's a lost art now lol. You could probably map out a whole social network from the 1950s just from addresses on these things.

Honestly, that's a whole lot of "wish you were here" from people who probably aren't around anymore (which is a little dark, sorry). My flea market impulse buys are usually just weird coffee mugs, so your dedication is impressive.
