Flea market tools vs. big box store tools... not even close

Picked up a full set of Craftsman wrenches from the 70s at a swap meet in Des Moines for $30 last Saturday. My buddy swore by the new Husky set from Home Depot for $80, so we put them head to head on a rusty old truck. The old Craftsman didn't slip once on a stripped bolt, the Husky rounded it off on the second turn. Anyone else notice older hand tools just hold up way better than the new stuff?
