Found a box of old love letters at a garage sale for $2

The seller told me they were from her grandma's attic and she just wanted them gone. I read through a few and they were super sweet, one guy wrote about missing her laugh. Has anyone else stumbled on someone's personal stuff and felt weird about buying it?

I found a box of old polaroids at a thrift store once and it felt so weird flipping through someone's life. I'd say keep them safe or try to find the family online if there's any names, I've seen people post stuff like that on Facebook groups and find relatives. Otherwise, if they're sweet and not too sad, there's no harm keeping them as a little time capsule.

I found some old letters in a thrift store once and posted them on a local history group. Turned out the family lived two towns over and they were thrilled to get them back. Maybe try that route first.
