Found a weird metal box at the Raleigh flea market and it turned out to be something else
I was at the Raleigh flea market last weekend and picked up this heavy little metal box for $8. It was sealed shut with some old tape and had no markings. I thought it might be a cool old tool case or maybe some kind of fishing tackle. When I got it home and finally pried it open, it was full of tiny glass vials, each one wrapped in yellowed paper. They weren't drugs or anything, but old perfume samples from the 1950s. The smell when I opened one was super strong, like flowers and mothballs. I had no idea what I had and almost threw them out. Now I'm looking at maybe selling them to a collector. Has anyone else found something that looked like junk but was actually a specific collectible?

Check the paper wrappers for any brand names or store labels... that's where the real value is. I found a similar lot of old Avon samples and the ones with the original store tags sold for way more. Just list them individually online with clear photos of the labels.
