Found two weird old radios at the same booth, had to pick one
One was a 1950s tube radio for $40, the other was a 1970s CB base station for $30. I went with the tube radio because it had all the original knobs, and it actually works after a new fuse. Anyone know a good place to find old schematics for these things?

Wait, you only paid forty bucks for a working tube radio from the 50s? That's an insane deal. Those things are usually way more expensive, even if they need work. For schematics, try looking at the Radio Museum website or some of the old ham radio forums.

Ever think about what kind of voice that CB station might have heard? Like, truckers talking in the 70s, maybe some wild late night chatter. That history is just gone if nobody saved the tapes, but your radio's sound is still the same as the day it was made. Kinda cool to think about the actual voices that came out of it.
