PSA: Check the battery compartment on old electronics before you buy
I grabbed a cool looking 90s boombox at a swap meet in Pasadena for $15, but the battery acid had eaten the contacts. I had to use white vinegar and a lot of scrubbing to get it working. Anyone have a better method for cleaning that green corrosion?

Try a baking soda paste with an old toothbrush next time.

Yeah @jason562, I've been there too. That paste does work well though.

What did you use to scrub it with? I always thought vinegar was the only way, but that baking soda paste trick sounds way easier lol.
