Rant: That 'perfect' weekend haul everyone brags about never happens

Last Saturday I dug through six tables of junk at the Old Town flea in Austin and all I got was a cracked Pyrex dish and a rusty wrench. Everyone posts photos of rare vinyl or mint condition tools but nobody talks about the 90% of days where you walk away with nothing but dust on your hands. Anybody else tired of the curated highlight reels making normal hauls feel like failures?

Right, because nothing says "perfect weekend haul" like a cracked Pyrex and a rusty wrench you'll never use. Sounds like you just described every single one of my "successful" trips.

Haha, I literally just read an article about how thrift stores are getting cleaned out by resellers with price gun apps. So that rusty wrench you found? Some reseller probably passed it over because the brand wasn't worth anything on eBay. But the cracked Pyrex is where it's at if you're into the vintage stuff. I saw a lady on a forum say she bought a chipped Pyrex bowl for $2 and sold it for $40 as a "craft project" piece. So maybe your haul is better than you think.
