Worst flea market week in years - found nothing but broken junk and overpriced junk

Last Saturday I hit three different flea markets around town and all I walked away with was a rusty skillet missing its handle and a guy yelling at me for touching his 'vintage' Pyrex that was priced at $90, has anyone else had a weekend where you spent more on gas and lunch than you did on actual finds?

Honestly I gotta disagree a little here. Yeah the $90 Pyrex is insane but that rusty skillet missing a handle sounds like the perfect project piece honestly. Ive had weekends where I come home with nothing but stories like the guy yelling at you and those are sometimes the best trips because you learn what to skip next time. Ngl the gas and lunch cost thing is real though I just factor that into the hobby budget like it's an entry fee. Tbh I'd rather have a slow week with character than a month where everything is picked clean by resellers.

Yeah I read somewhere that resellers are actually starting to avoid certain markets because the picking is getting too competitive. Kinda funny how things flip like that. But I get your point about the stories making it worth it, those weird trips stick with you more than the easy scores.
