Vent: I keep seeing guys in Phoenix not letting engineered wood acclimate for the full 72 hours the box says, and then they're shocked when it cups.
Had a client call me back last week to fix a 1500 sq ft job where the previous installer only gave it a day in the house, and now the whole floor is a mess.

That 72-hour rule is for the worst-case humidity scenario.

Honestly, I've seen plenty of installs skip that full wait time and turn out just fine! Maybe it depends on the house's humidity more than the clock.

My old boss in Tampa used to rush every job to save a day. We spent more time fixing his shortcuts than if we'd just followed the directions from the start. People treat guidelines like they're optional until they're standing in a room full of buckled flooring.
