Oh wow, @karen275, that story hits a little too close to home! I once tried to apologize with gas station flowers that were already wilting in the plastic wrap. Let's just say it did not fix the problem, and I had to actually use my words. That man is playing a dangerous game with that basic bouquet. Some things really do need more than a sad bunch of carnations from the checkout lane.
