First time a bride cried happy tears at a bouquet pickup

Had a wedding order from a couple in Tacoma last Saturday. They wanted a mix of garden roses and eucalyptus, nothing too fancy. I put in extra time on the ribbon work, making sure it felt soft in her hands. When she came to get it, she just stared for a minute. Then she got teary and said 'It's exactly like my grandma's garden.' That got me too. Made the long Friday night totally worth it. Anyone else have a moment like that where it just clicked?

My friend runs a small bakery and had a similar thing happen with a groom's cake. It was a simple chocolate cake with a fishing lure design, nothing huge. The groom saw it and got really quiet, then explained it was the exact kind his late dad used to make for his birthday. That kind of feedback, where you accidentally hit a memory, just stops you in your tracks. It makes all the hard work feel real.

That "accidentally hit a memory" part is why small jobs feel huge sometimes.
