I spent $75 on a forum archive service and found a goldmine of old tech support rants

I was trying to find an old fix for a weird Windows 98 error. I paid the fee to a site that saves old forum pages. It pulled up a thread from 2002 where people argued for 10 pages about floppy disk sounds. One guy wrote, 'The click means it's thinking!' It was a total time capsule of forgotten computer problems. Has anyone else dug up something that funny from a dead forum?

My buddy found a 2005 thread arguing if iPods could get viruses. People were dead serious about it.

Honestly, that was a pretty fair question back then.

Man, I used to think saving old forum data was pointless. Then I found a 2004 thread where people debated if 512MB of RAM was overkill. @jackson.brooke is right, it was a real concern back then. Reading those old tech panic arguments completely changed my mind.
