Came across a diary of doodles at a thrift store, made my week.
I was browsing a thrift store on Tuesday. Spotted a beat-up notebook in the dollar bin. Flipped through it, full of silly drawings and jokes. Someone's art project from high school, I think. It cracked me up, especially a cartoon of a grumpy cat. Took it home, now it's on my workbench for a quick smile. Such a simple thing, but it lifted my spirits. Ever find something like that?

That's such a cool find, it really is the best feeling. There's something special about stumbling on a little piece of someone else's harmless, goofy past. I once found a old homework assignment with doodles in the margins at a library book sale, and it just makes your day for no big reason. Those forgotten bits have so much charm.

Forgotten bits have so much charm" is so true. I found a grocery list from 1998 in a used cookbook once. It was just eggs, bread, and a thing called "Mr. Bubble." That tiny window into a random Tuesday stuck with me.
