Found a kid's old sketchbook in a box of free stuff on my curb, and the last page just says 'I'm sorry about the window, it was the dog'.
I was cleaning out a client's garage in Cedar Rapids last week and they had a whole box of old school stuff marked 'free', and tucked under a stack of report cards was this green notebook filled with surprisingly good dinosaur drawings, but that final note from like 1998 has me wondering what the full story was.

That's the kind of find that makes you stop and laugh. Found a similar note tucked in a library book once, a kid's apology for spilling juice on page 42. Makes you wonder what the parent's face looked like when they finally read it. What kind of dog do you think could take the blame for a window?

That library book apology is a good find too. You mentioned wondering about the parent's face. Do you think the kid wrote it hoping the parent would find it, or was it more like a secret confession they never meant to send?
