I realized I've filled 500 pages with hand-drawn maps of kitchens and notes about where the ants were trailing, and honestly that number made me stop and think about how much small detail work goes into this job that nobody sees.

My buddy runs a small bakery and keeps a similar notebook for oven temps. He hit 300 pages last month and said it felt like he was writing a physics textbook nobody would ever read. Little details add up to something real though, even if they're just sitting in a drawer.
