I finally reconnected with my sister thanks to her childhood journal.

I was sorting through old boxes in the garage... came across my sister's journal from when we were ten. It had a detailed map she drew of our backyard, marking where we buried a time capsule. I'd forgotten all about it, but seeing the map made me text her after years of not talking. We dug it up last weekend, and now we're planning to meet more often...

Finding old stuff like that can really hit you in the feels. Time capsules are so cool because they freeze a moment from your past. It's amazing how a simple map led to fixing things with your sister. Stuff like this makes me want to dig through my own old boxes. Happy for you both getting back in touch.
