I found a notebook in a box of old books and the drawings inside were way more interesting than the writing

I was clearing out a storage unit I bought at auction in Spokane and found a small blue notebook in a box of old school books. The first few pages were just normal class notes, so I almost put it back. But then I flipped to the middle and found these really detailed pencil drawings of fantasy creatures, each one with little notes about their habitats. The drawings told a whole story the notes never did. Has anyone else found a notebook where the pictures told you more than the words?

Tbh, that notebook sounds way cooler than the class notes. The good stuff is always hidden in the margins or the middle pages. You basically found someone's secret creative life they hid from their teacher.

Yeah but david_singh61, you're making it sound like some deep secret diary. It's probably just some kid doodling because they were bored in math class. We all did that, it doesn't mean every scribble is a hidden creative masterpiece. Sometimes a doodle is just a doodle, not a whole secret life. People read way too much into random stuff they find.

Wait, would you say the drawings actually had a connected story from page to page or was it more like random creature designs scattered through the notebook?
