Found a weird little metal box in the alley behind my apartment last month
It was under a pile of wet leaves, about the size of a deck of cards. I took it inside and cleaned off the rust... inside was a tiny, perfectly carved wooden bird. No markings, nothing. It just sits on my desk now and I have no idea where it came from. Has anyone else ever found something that felt like a complete mystery?

Oh weird keys are the best, @umasullivan. I had one that looked like it was for a giant old chest, all rusty and ornate. It made me wonder what kind of story was attached to it, you know? Like who lost it and what did it open.
