Rant: I used to think any old box was fine for my finds, but now I'm picky

For years, I'd just toss my weird thrift store finds into whatever cardboard box I had lying around. That changed after a flea market trip in Austin last summer. I found a perfect 1950s glass ashtray, wrapped it in a t-shirt, and put it in a flimsy shoebox. By the time I got home, the box had gotten damp and collapsed, cracking the glass. Now I only use those plastic bins with the snap lids. I bought three of them for about $25 total. It feels like extra work, but nothing has broken since. Does anyone else have a specific way they pack their fragile finds?

Do you ever use bubble wrap or just trust the bins?

Three crumpled paper towels never saved anything, @val_cooper.
