Shoutout to the guy who said to always check the bottom of the box
I bought a box of old tools at a yard sale for 20 bucks, mostly junk. I was ready to toss the whole thing after a quick look. Then I remembered a comment on here about checking under the paper lining. I dumped it out and found a small, flat brass case taped to the bottom. Inside was a 1923 silver dollar, mint condition. It paid for the tools about fifty times over. Anyone else find a hidden bonus like that?

It's funny how the best stuff is often just out of plain sight. I've found extra screws or a missing manual taped under furniture drawers the same way. Makes you wonder what else we walk right past.

Ever check the bottom of your cereal box too?

@emma684 you're right about that taped under furniture thing, I once fixed a wobbly IKEA dresser with a random screw I found stuck to the bottom of a cereal box. Turns out the real treasure was just falling out in my lap the whole time. Makes you think about what else is hiding in plain sight, like the missing remote or that one sock the dryer eats. Pretty sure the box bottom is where they hide all the secrets nobody wants to deal with.
