I used to think those little foam sanding pads were a total gimmick.
A client in Austin insisted I try one on a tricky curved leg, and it got into spots my folded paper never could. Now I keep a pack in my kit for any detailed shaping work. What's a tool you were wrong about at first?

Remember when I thought a card scraper was just a fancy piece of metal? I was so sure my sandpaper was all I needed. Tried one on a stubborn finish and it pulled up shavings like butter, no dust at all. I felt like a real fool for ignoring it for so long. It completely changed how I handle final smoothing now. I guess my stubbornness cost me a lot of extra sanding over the years.

I mean, I totally wrote off those cheap paint scrapers. But man, they're actually perfect for cleaning up dried glue squeeze-out.

Wait so did you actually try it on dried glue, or are you just guessing it works? @jones.grace probably knows cause they mentioned being wrong about scrapers before. Ive had glue squeeze out ruin a few joints cause i tried sanding it off and it just gummed up the paper. Might grab a cheap one next time im at the hardware store.
