He probably meant the battery life. My old e-reader goes a month on a charge. The new ones need a cord every other day, like a needy pet. They added color and games, but took away the one thing that made them great. Progress is getting a worse battery and calling it a feature.

That "needy pet" line is perfect. For me it's the menus. My old mp3 player just plays music. The new one feels like it's always trying to sell me something or show me a podcast.
