Just realized my family's brutal honesty makes for better gadget reviews

I was testing a new robot vacuum and let my kids name it. They called it 'Dusty' and immediately tried to ride it. It got stuck under the couch twice in ten minutes. My brother visited and pointed out the noise level drowned out the TV. My mom tried to program a schedule and said the app felt like homework. Their casual complaints highlighted flaws I'd gloss over in my notes. Now I invite family over when I review household gadgets. Their unfiltered takes save me from writing puff pieces.

My sister's five minute rant about a smart lightbulb's setup was more useful than the whole instruction manual.

My family takes brutal honesty to a whole new level. They'd probably call that vacuum "useless" and suggest using it as a weird planter. My dad's feedback is just him sighing and shaking his head for five minutes straight. Guess my glowing reviews need that kind of reality check before I post them. Saves everyone from buying junk.

Your family are the best critics.
