Remember when phone cameras had a real shutter button?

I was at a family picnic in Austin last summer, trying to take a photo of my nephew. My phone's touchscreen shutter kept missing the moment because my finger kept slipping. My dad handed me his old Sony Ericsson Cybershot phone from 2008. It had a proper two-stage camera button you could half-press to focus. I got the shot perfectly on the first try. It made me miss when gadgets were built for one job and did it well. Anyone else have an old feature they wish would make a comeback?

Man, I miss that satisfying click of a real camera button too... my old Nokia had one.

Actually, that was the shutter button on the side.

Look, I get the nostalgia but touch screens are just better now. My phone takes great pictures without any buttons getting in the way. Those old buttons broke all the time and made the phone bulky. The software focus is way faster for most things I shoot. I don't miss fumbling with a tiny physical button at all.
