Working on concert flyers made me see that simple beats busy every time.

Ngl, everyone says you need eye-catching details, but I find minimal designs grab attention faster. They just feel more modern to me.

Totally get what you mean about minimal feeling more modern. I see it this way: a busy flyer does all the talking for you, but a simple one makes the viewer work a little. That tiny bit of effort to figure it out actually makes them remember it more. It's like the difference between someone yelling a fact at you and letting you discover it yourself. What's a concert flyer you've seen lately that pulled off simple really well?

My friend showed me this black and white flyer for a synthwave show last week. It was just a simple grid of lines forming a mountain shape with the date tucked in the corner. He couldn't stop talking about how that clean look made him actually want to go.

The chaotic flyer for the warehouse rave in Brooklyn last week was covered in glowing text and band logos. It told me everything right away without making me puzzle it out. @skyler627 mentioned that simple flyer, but honestly, when I'm scrolling fast, a busy design jumps out and sticks in my mind way more. All that visual noise can match the energy of the actual event too. Sometimes, more really is more when you want to get people excited!
