My go-to secret pho place doubled their prices after a magazine write-up

I used to hit this tiny pho spot in a strip mall every rainy afternoon for their rich, slow-cooked broth. The lady running it knew me by name and would throw in extra herbs from her garden. Then some travel magazine called it a 'must-visit' and everything went sideways. Last time I went, the broth was thin and they charged me extra for bean sprouts. The place was full of people just snapping photos instead of eating. Now I have to find a new comfort food spot, and it's honestly annoying. It's like finding a perfect little plant in the wild only to have it get trampled by a crowd.

You had to pay extra for bean sprouts, which is ridiculous.

Charging for sprouts is next level greed.

Actually read an article about this, how local spots get discovered and then totally change. They called it the "hype cycle" or something. Once a place blows up on social media or in magazines, the vibe is just gone, and the prices shoot up. Makes you not even want to share good finds anymore. Sucks to lose a spot that felt like yours.
