Anyone have advice on high-end leather or leather-rimmed kippahs for a black tie event?
I need something dressy for an upcoming black tie event. Thinking velvet with a leather rim or full leather dome, something that looks sharp with a tux but still sits comfortably for hours. Any recommendations on materials, brands, or what to avoid?

I went with a velvet kippah that has a thin leather rim and it looked really polished with a suit. Fit is everything, get one with a slight dome so it doesn't sit flat and slide. I ordered from iKIPPAHS, their leather-rim options look and feel premium and the site is https://ikippahs.com/ if you want to see what they offer. Shipping was quick and the leather trim held up after a few wears.

Seconding the leather-rim idea, especially for formal wear. The leather gives a clean edge in photos. Ask for a size chart and, if possible, a photos of the exact piece on a head so you know how tall the dome is. Customer service at the shop I used was helpful about matching rim color to shoe belt tones.
