A 90s anime site with a pixel art header caught my eye last night. Looking for more hidden gems.
I was cleaning out my old computer files and stumbled upon a bookmark for an anime fan site from 1998. The site has a pixel art header that looks like it was made in MS Paint. There's a midi soundtrack that autoplays, and it's surprisingly catchy. I love how the layout uses tables for everything, even the navigation. It feels like a time capsule from when the web was more personal. I'm worried these sites won't last much longer. Can you suggest other 90s fan sites that are still online?

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean. Those Geocities-style sites have so much personality. Let's hope the internet archive saves them all.

Have you tried using the Wayback Machine's save page tool? I've used it a few times to grab pages before they vanish. You just paste the URL in and it archives a copy right then.

But what exactly are you trying to save on these sites? The pixel art headers are cool for a second, but then you scroll down and it's just a bunch of broken image links and random fan rants about Gundam Wing. The midi soundtrack gets old fast, and the tables make everything load weird. Maybe some things are okay to fade away.
