Had to pick between a table-based layout and CSS for a 1998 site rebuild

I was updating this old band website I made back in '98 and couldn't decide if I should keep the table grid or switch to CSS positioning. The table route was a pain to tweak every time they changed setlist font sizes, but CSS wasn't even fully supported in Netscape 4 yet. I went with tables for both columns and ended up nesting 6 tables inside each other to get that sidebar effect. Has anyone else wrestled with browser compatibility like that back then?

Had a buddy who got so frustrated he just started ripping boards off the wall with his bare hands. @wyatta30, think you woulda laughed watching him finally just kick the whole mess into a pile and walk away.
