Oh yeah, @lisa_wilson87, I had the same reaction at first. But then I actually saw a friend's place where she went with a big wooden farmhouse table and some low-profile modern chairs in a bright white kitchen. It totally worked because the contrast made the whole room feel fresh and not so matchy-matchy. I think the key is picking a table with clean lines and not going overboard with the rustic elements. Just something to try if you want to dip your toes into that look.
